Suzanne featured in a mouth
watering ad in "Carmel Pine Cone"
| "When
that ad came out in the Carmel newspaper I remember cracking up cuz of
the 'dishes' offered next to my photo. One of my friends who waitressed
at the Hatch Cover told me after that ad came out one gentleman brought
in the ad and placed it on the table. When she came to take his order
he pointed to my photo and said “I’ll have that tonight, thank
you” I sang there for 6 months. It was a good gig. Several
actors and
actresses had homes in the area. My (then) husband, Lynn, was
sharing
office space with Clint Eastwood, so he (Eastwood) and Doug McClure and
others used to come in the HatchCover fairly regularly to have dinner
and listen to music. The town was full of actors and writers, singers,
dancers, artists etc. I’d get off work and a big group of us would
often go to an art gallery in Carmel for a party. We’d stay up
all
night singing and talking and having a wonderful time. Interesting
collection of folks." |
